BAS FAQ

  • Which companies/institutions need to send the planktonic bacteria sampler to be calibrated every year?

It can be sent to the metrology institute or the manufacturer for calibration. The flow deviation standard of the Metrology Institute is based on the selected testing standard (for example, the East China Metrology Institute, the allowable deviation is ±3%), and the manufacturer's flow deviation standard is ±2.5%. The calibration of the Institute of Metrology only measures the flow condition of the instrument at the time, but when the deviation of the flow exceeds the standard, the flow will not be adjusted. The manufacturer's calibration will adjust the flow rate of the instrument to within the standard deviation, and then issue a calibration report.
  • Does the colony on the petri dish need to be corrected?

When moving in a clean aIt needs to be corrected. There is a faller correction table in the random instrument, and the number of colonies on the plate is corrected to get the true value.rea, the standard operating procedure is to move the sampling head only after it is covered with a dust cover.
  • Do I need to change the sampling head every time I take a sample?

When sampling at the same clean level, there is no need to replace the sampling head. There is no need to change the sampling head when entering a low-cleanliness area directly from an area with a high cleanliness level. When entering a low-cleanliness area from a high-cleanliness area, and passes through a lower-cleanliness area, the sampling head needs to be replaced at this time.
  • Will BAS/DBAS affect the airflow in the clean area?

No. The isokinetic sampling speed of BAS/DBAS is 0.41m/s, which is consistent with the speed of the unidirectional flow in the clean area (0.36~0.54m/s), and the intake direction is the same as the exhaust direction, so the unidirectional flow in the clean area is not Will cause turbulence.
  • What is the verification reminder function?

Calibration reminder is a function of BAS/DBAS software, you can choose to enable or disable this function. After this function is enabled, when the time to the calibration expiration date is less than the set time, the prompt sentence "There are still more days before the next calibration: *** days" will appear after the device is turned on. When the verification expiration date is exceeded, after the device is turned on, a prompt sentence "Verification date has been exceeded: ***days" appears.
  • Does the mass flow meter have a compensation effect on pressure and temperature changes?

Yes. The built-in flowmeter of BAS/DBAS can compensate the influence caused by temperature and pressure.
